Small tutorial request

I was wondering if anyone would like to attempt a tutorial on procedural terrain generation, possibly following this guide: http://http.developer.nvidia.com/GPUGems3/gpugems3_ch01.html

I’m deeply interested in creating a procedural planet but really have no idea where to start, having only just begun my foray into graphics programming and knowing a little bit of OpenGL(but nowhere near enough) I thought it might be easier to learn using an engine such as unreal.

Any help on getting started would be great!
