Slow alignment when using 2400 images

Hi Just wondering if there is a reason why Capture Reality is very slow since switching to a GTX 980 Ti and running 2468 images.
GPUz during alignment shows:
Core Clock: 130Mhz
Memory used 1092MB

Data is on an SSD, with cache folder also on SSD.

I have latest drivers etc.

When running a smaller scene it is a lot faster and the difference in speed does not seem to make sense. Anyone else getting this problem?

Notes:

  • I have tested Vray/3Dsmax and rendering is taking full advantage of this card (GPUz shows maxing out everything which is good)

  • I have previously used a 580 and it worked perfectly, faster than this card for realitycapture

  • My suspicion is that RC is not supporting the card correctly

I just noticed this, while trying to quit RC (stopped the process and it will not exit unless I force quit in task manager)
Using 45gigs of memory but CPU is 1%

Hi Jon

looking on the alignment settings which you used. They are useless!
Use these settings for this project, not yours.

As for the GTX 980Ti, I highly recommend you to use http://www.wagnardmobile.com/ the DRIVER UNINSTALLER and just when you do it properly, install the newest Nvidia driver. As it can happen that it is not working properly because of some driver “conflicts”.
