When I am duplicating an object in my scene using Ctrl + W it will slightly move the duplicated version on the X axis seems to be every time, It’s not that bad unless you are doing it a lot then it is extremely time-consuming and painful (like when I’m having to place literally millions of cylinders). Is there a way to fix this or is it just a bug?
Try “Alt + drag”.
That just moves the object for me, and Shift + Drag moves the object and takes the camera with it, and ctrl + drag just moves it again…
Bump, this is a very frustrating time waster when your talking about duplicating thousands of items
I have the same problem, it seems to be a bug.
The amount it moves depends on the “Position Grid Snap value”
When I disable it, it doesn’t move.
I have this bug in UE4 version 4.21.2
when i started working on my Projekt there was no moving when copying. It also appears in new projects.
I need to say that in Unreal Engine 5.4 this is STILL a problem. When you duplicate something, it ever so slightly moves your objects so its not in the exact same place, when you are duplicating hundreds of objects it becomes clear that your objects are not properly duplicated. I am currently having to manually move all over my floor tiles by 6 units on the Y axis because of this problem.
