Slightly Esoteric Studios - Endless Rooms

Unreal Engine plugin for creating endless rooms for players to explore.

Perfect for dungeons, roguelikes, mazes, backrooms-style games, and more.

Works by loading and unloading levels as the player walks through doors.

Rooms are made from sublevels, meaning they are fully customizable with any asset packs or blueprints.

Designed to be simple to setup and reuse.

HI! this looks awesome, just like your previous endless world generation, and it would be perfect for a project i have in mind. but i have some questions that are not answered in the videos or documentation. Is it possible to control which rooms spawn besides which? and can i make the rooms as big as i want? thanks very much for everything in advance. Your projects are great!

Hi mate

Haven’t added a feature yet to control which rooms lead to which, but that’s quite an easy addition (I could introduce an option for a custom data asset which you can place on the doors to define the pool of rooms to select from when the door opens). I will add that in the future.

Rooms can be as big or small as you want, and also in uneven dimensions. The limitation of the Endless Worlds plugin was that every level needed to be placed on a grid of uniform dimensions and size but Endless Rooms can support any shape and size and will do the math to snap the doors together while also checking for collisions.

Cheers,

Jackson

Finally, something I truly need for my little project.
This will help me tremendously,
Thanks mate! Will keep you posted on my progress.
