I am creating a basic 3D character that I can use for any game.
But the last thing I have to perfect is this issue with my walking and animation speed.
Its the same for running and the animation, Crouching however is perfect those line up well.
I have looked everywhere but all I find is weird tutorials on retargeting IK Rigs and stuff but that didn’t work, also something with blender and putting a root bone in there but then reimporting from blender into UE5 broke too.
I am pretty new to all this so keep in mind that i may have missed an obvious error.
It looks like your running/walking speed is just too fast for the animation. Try slowing it down and adjusting it so it matches your animation a bit better, or speeding up the animation.
Yeah I did try that I have changed 4 different speend values on movement speed but i cant match it up with the animation. And for the animation I wouldn’t know how to slow that down.
You would not want to slow down the animation but speed it up instead if you need to match your current movement speed. As for the movement speed, I usually start slow and add speed till it looks the way I want it and it lines up well. If you are wanting something more exact, have you tried using root motion to control the movement for your animations/character?
