So i want to create a sliding animation in Maya that i can use within UE4, currently i just have the bone stretch out for the sliding animation which is fine in Maya but from what i remember of UDK you could not have bones that stretch, is this limitation still in UE4?
If so what would the best way to go about having an object slide - The intended use is to have a robotic arm which unfolds then extends along a rail in between it’s segments (kind of like an old car antenna) so i don’t think using sockets would be optimal since there will be about 12 segments and UE4 only supports single root skeletons.
