I’ve got a *working slicing with Slice Procedural Mesh for the plasma beam and a Copy Procedural Mesh from Static Mesh Componenet node in the sliceable mesh itself as base.
- Problem comes when the shape is a little different than in the tutorial videos
So lets see a simple U form for example.
Slicing the U’s LEFT PART ONLY, horizontally would also slice the right part, as the Slice Proc. Mesh node uses a plane. On top of this the top right and top left parts of the sliced U would even move together as one, but separate from the bottom.
Anyone knows which way I should continue on this problem? Is there a better node or can I limit its slicing somehow, etc? I’d rather stay away from plugins and downloadable things. My project is also blueprint only so far and I’d prefer to keep it that way as far as possible.
