Slate and materials; Cooldowns?

Hi ya’ll,

My lead programmer and I are trying to get cooldowns with Slate to work, and we’ve managed to get flipbooks to work in conjunction with our cooldown system in game, here’s the material (nothing fancy):

Now, this is a hacky prototyping way of doing cooldowns as having longer cooldowns will make the animation look laggy, and I’d like to know if anyone else has worked with these kinds of things and how they would make a smooth animation that works smoothly, rather than tacky like ours?


Actually, this doesn’t actually plug in properly as slate doesn’t accept materials. Do’h!
