Cool, also on IRC channels there’s usually the common trend of people going AFK in IRC, you never really know how many people are actually active. With Skype, You can simply change your status icon or mood, though it only works for people you’ve added, conversation history saves until you delete it at least. Plus It’s totally free and group calls are a thing.

Plus Skype is just so much more simple and effective I’ve found. in IRC, just joining a place needs a server name and an IP, while Skype is literally just “drag people into group, or make one with a button and invite people” And that is alot less prone to messing up I’ve found
