Hi Everyone. Here’s the trailer for our UEFN experience “Skull Island”
It’s 1952, you find yourself on a plane flying 250 miles North East of Bermuda when things start to go terribly wrong. What is the mystery of Skull island? Fight your way to safety and escape if you can!
I love the old timey black and white feel of this game and great use of sequencer! I’ll drop a like and some feedback when I have a chance to fully run through your level.
I had a chance to play this recently and really liked it, some feedback that you can take or leave as you see fit:
The emissive color on the fog is really bright and makes the screen bloom (especially in HDR). You totally lose the sense of fog and it becomes more like being in a steam bath. Off the top of my head I might try a 0.18 value (neutral) and work your way up or down from there.
I ran out of ammo very quickly and couldn’t figure out how to get more, especially while dodging the dinosaurs. I’ll be honest, I quit in frustration at that point even though I was curious about finishing the island. Maybe you can hide some ammo around the island or have enemies drop some. (I know, dinos dropping ammo is weird but it’s only a video game). Alternatively a melee weapon might work for those moments.
The cutscene at the beginning is really great but goes on a bit too long. Specifically there are long pauses in between moments of radio dialog that could be compressed. I think you can get that down to maybe half the current running time.
Anyway, just one guy’s thoughts on the experience so take it with a grain of salt. Looking forward to playing the final version!
Not trying to be a negetive chump, but the cover for the link really threw me off.
The Picture for skull island was really nice with lovly colors, then the game was in black n white. Maybe desaturate the skull island image so ppl (me ) wont get dissepointed…
However the game looks nice and graphics as well… was just prepared for something els
