So this is an issue with applying clothes to metahumans I haven’t encountered in a while, but I am unable to solve in this scenario. My project for work had recently updated to 5.5, and with that came using 5.5 metahumans. For the older metahumans, I had to update them (from 5.0 - 5.2) through bridge and/or metahuman creator.
I created some new characters using the 5.5 metahuman creator and imported them to the project, however when applying any type of long sleeve clothing to them I made, the sleeves stretch down to the root (this doesn’t seem to be the case for metahuman preset long sleeve tops).
It doesn’t seem likely to be a clothing skinning issue since applying those same clothes to the other metahumans (the ones I updated from older versions to 5.5) doesn’t show this skinning issue, simply displaying normally.
In the past when I came across this issue, it seemed to be the result of the construction script nodes, but even with a similar set up with these new 5.5 metahumans, it doesn’t seem to work, even without having touched the construction script. I’ve also tried making a construction script where I use a [Set Leader Pose Component] to have the skeletal mesh part attached as targets, like I always used to do for metahumans with extra accessories, and it still doesn’t work.
I also tried remaking the characters in a 5.2 legacy version of metahuman creator, then switching to the 5.5 version to update them through there, like I also did with the other older metahumans, but the same issue happened anyway.
So I would appreciate any help or suggestions!
I should also note, just in case, that not all old metahumans in the project are updated to 5.5, since they weren’t part of my metahuman creator account, and/or they were also left out of updates when I was automatically given the prompt to update old metahumans after trying to add a 5.5 one in. In case a clash with that is the reason for this issue.
