Sketchup 2021 datasmith to UE4.27.2 No connection found

I am pretty new in unreal. I already installed the required datasmith plugin in sketchup. I just installed UE4.27.2, and when I am trying to do direct link in my sketchup file it is not working in UE.

this is whats showing in the connection. I tried to look for solution but I cannot find anything.

Can someone please help? Thanks

Hi PuzaN,

Direct Link is a Runtime only feature in 4.27.2, which means you cannot use it in Editor mode.

Thank you so much for the reply Antoine. I will check those links. So that means I cannot use it like a live view while editing. I still need to save the data from my sketchup and import it in UE so I can use it. Got it, hope someday it will be like a live sync view. It will be a really good feature.

We are currently working on an Editor version of Direct Link, so keep an eye out for it in UE5. :slight_smile:
