Try closing and re-launching your Twinmotion to see if this lets you download the Sketchfab assets.

If you still can't download the assets and you are signed into your Epic Games account inside Twinmotion please try closing Twinmotion then logging out of the Epic Games Launcher and logging back in.

If that still doesn't work, please let me know. If you can also provide a screenshot of the error message you're getting, that would be very helpful.

I have no error messages but it just asks me to log in again even if it has already been logged in.

As an additional note for anyone experiencing this issue, if you try all of the above troubleshooting and still are being asked to sign in to use Sketchfab, please submit a bug report here and share the Twinmotion.log file after doing the following:

  1. Open Twinmotion and go to the File menu > Click on the Account Display name > My Account to see if you are signed in.
  2. If you are not signed in, please sign in
  3. Open the Sketchfab library and find any asset
  4. Hover over the download option that causes the Please sign in to download tooltip to appear
  5. Close Twinmotion
  6. Locate the Twinmotion.log file on your computer, which can be found by following the steps in the Where to find Twinmotion .log file article
  7. Upload the file with your bug report

Providing us with the log files will help us understand what may be causing this issue and let us more quickly identify a solution.

Is it possible that this is not accessable for education accounts? With the pro account it seems to work. COuld be nice that our students have access to it.

Hi! I have the same problem here.

But i think it is because I have deleted the "new account" that Twinmotion has automatically created on Sketchfab, because I already have an older account, which I never used associated with Epic Games.

After this, even logged in on Twinmotion and following the suggested procedures, i can't download Sketchfab models, it shows the same message "Please sign to download". Couldn't it be an sketchfab API related issue?

I think a better solution would be to have an option to associate an existing Sketchfab account, rather than try to automatically create one.

😅 WTF I did here... well, I just didn't need another account... is there a way to connect my epic account with my older sketchfab and resolve this?

Above: the account I think they deleted (no problem!). This account was associated with the rocketmail email (which is the email I am using with Epic, and I think is causing the problem with automatic creation ou association).

Below, the account I deleted (the "Drelius" one, created by twinmotion on first use of sketchfab model). In the end I think, both accounts and the rocketmail "email" are the problem (as I cannot change the email for now on Epic... :/ ).

The log still says: "Epic account is already connected to a deleted Sketchfab user"

I had a previous account with the same email address and password that I use to log into Epic Games. That account is connected with Epic game according to Sketckfab "connected accounts" menu.

Unfortunately it still didn't work, i can't log in with Epic Games, it shows the same message "This Mail is already in use"

I've just discussed this with our team and this is being investigated, as it looks to be happening for other users as well. We don't have a known cause or solution yet.

When you first started using Twinmotion 2022.2 Preview 2, did you receive a welcome email from Sketchfab? This would only apply if you've never used Sketchfab before. If you have used Sketchfab previously on the same account, please let me know.

Some additional troubleshooting steps to try are to do the following:

  1. Open Twinmotion and go to the File menu > Click on the Account Display name > My Account.
  2. When the account is open in the browser accept any prompts then Sign out from the browser.
  3. Close all open browser windows
  4. Back in Twinmotion > Click on the Sign-out menu
  5. Then Sign-in and follow all prompts if any
  6. Confirm you are signed in properly in Twinmotion
  7. Try to download Sketchfab assets again

If that doesn't work, try logging into the Sketchfab website using your Epic Games account and downloading an asset from the website. This can help us know if network traffic from Sketchfab may be being blocked from your network.

Lastly, please try following the steps in the Twinmotion is not visible after splash screen article to reset Twinmotion to a default copnfiguration. Once reset, try opening Twinmotion again and see if you can download the assets.
