Skeletal Mesh LOD Incorrect

I have a gun mesh whos LOD is 0 when attached to the player mesh, but gets changed to 1 when attached to the player’s hand. Even if I put the gun right up to the camera, the LOD is still 1 and not 0.

I do not mess with the LODs at all so I’m not sure why the LOD isn’t 0 when it is right next to the camera.

I haven’t dealt with this personally. But, I did some searching and found responses saying Set bOverrideMinLOD or Forced LODor use an entirely separate actor for the gun.
