According to the launcher, the 4.8 version is 14.3 GB when installed.
Not sure of the exact size … but it is more then 5 GB and less than 15 GB.
You can download 4.8 instead … same size however. In order to develop with Unreal Engine you will need the Binary version or the Source version … both of them have a similar sized footprint.
Once again I am not sure of the exact sizes … so I stand under correction.

No. What I mean is why dont they just display the file size in the market place once the launcher is up so I know where to allocate resources.

Much more than 204800 Mb with everything you will have, adding your projects in your documents, and things inside the vault folder. If you use github, you will need more than twice, to compile the sources codes. I think a small 1048576 Mb hd is going to meets your needs.

It downloads approximately 4.7 GB of data through the launcher. Once downloaded and installed, the 4.7.6 version is somewhat between 11.5 GB - 12.5 GB
Don’t know about 4.8 but it should be approximately the same size
