Hi, i’d like to know in details how much is GB size from Unreal Engine 5. I got a medium budget laptop, i’ve been using unreal 4.27 since so, but i’d like to know how much i need to have to download ue5, and of course, make basic things until i get a new laptop, thanks in advance.
Epic Laucher reports 55 GiB for a default installation; see pic bellow for reference.
In Windows Explorer, UE5 folder properties dialog reports more or less the same:
thanks man, it means a lot to me, now i’m aware about it, thanks again
besides, do you think i can run ue5 normally in mypc, i mean i have 4.27, then is ue5 able to run with normal projects?
That depends on what you use it for. I can run 4.27 just fine on my PC too, but Lumen and Nanite make most maps unplayable for me. BTW, UE5 is only 32 gigabytes if you disable everything but the base engine.
really?32 gb, do you recomend me o download it and disable the other dtuffs, i intend to develop games and use blueprints, level design
The Starter Content is only 665 megabytes, the new templates and starter packs are 2.84 gigabytes, and you may need to download some target platform support (like Android or Linux). In the end, your install size will likely be 35-40 gigabytes.
thanks man its cool
