Since the recent Epic Launcher update, the project doesn't launch immediately

Since the recent Epic Launcher update, the project doesn’t launch immediately. Only a short error message saying ‘Failed to launch editor’ appears.

I am 100% sure that the cause of this issue is the Epic Launcher update, as it worked perfectly before the update and broke after it.

The version of the engine I’m using is 4.21.

I’m also having that issue.
First, I thought my GPU died, then realized it had something to do with that update you mentioned.
None of the UE versions work. System Restore doesn’t help, restarting PC doesn’t work, updating drivers doesn’t work.

There’s a constant text above saying: “Discover the Fab Plug-in from the editors Window menu to access tons of assets for use in your next project.”

Maybe we need to enable that plugin? But where, how, or was it already enabled??

I get the same error trying to launch a project trough launcher. Engine version 4.18.3 - Next step was to launch the engine in Launcher, that worked.

  2. open project

This is not the way it should work - you should be able to load project right in launcher just double click but I hope this helped to load projects and for now work with it until they release a fix.
