Simulating Physics Asset Causes Bones to Snap to Root Bone

Hi, I’ve created a ribbon model in blender with bones to simulate physics when attached to my character. The problem is that whenever I add multiple bodies set to “simulated” physics and simulate the physics asset, one of the bones teleports to the root position. I’ve looked in countless places and tried all of the solutions online including: chaning the unit scale in blender, remaking the armature, renaming the armature to anything other than “armature” (tried naming to “root” as well), and even trying to turn off collision between bodies in Unreal. Please if anyone has had this problem before and found a solution, I’d be extremely greatful. Thanks!
