Simplify tool gives irregular results compared to other similar dcc tools

Does anyone have any suggestions for settings for the simplify tool? I feel like I have tried most things including “Unreal Standard” but can’t seem to get usable results compared to zbrush decimation master or instalod or houdini polyreduce.

Could you provide some visuals reference please. It is tough to say what path to take without know they shape and structure of the mesh you are trying to simplify.
