The mesh base is messed up on exported simplified model.

what mean under messed up ? can circle the issues so can easier understand it ?
There are triangle faces sticking out of the side of the base mesh. The side of the base mesh should be flat.
Here is an orthographic top view of the mesh showing the protruding triangular faces:

this looks like a real bug. We are working on a completely new simplification algorithm so it will vanish upon release.

As an interim workaround on the “reduced” model I’ve been using MeshMixer to do a plane cut around the sides and extrude the outer edge (if required)… then import back to RC for the texture
