Beautiful and immersive scene.

Love the sounds of the cars as they drive by. Love the sound of the raindrops on the umbrella. I watched the video at least 10 times.

I know you didn’t ask for it, but here are some tips that I think would bring your scene to the next level.

  • fix the way the tree branches move in the wind. Sometimes it looks like hurricane-force winds are blowing
  • add a person or two walking in the distance (to further add to the sense of immersion)
  • adjust or change the sound you use for the wind. I think it get’s too high-pitched sometimes.

Once again, awesome job!

@Marius557 Thank you so much for those words. I’ll give it a try.

Greetings @Cylon !

Thank you for sharing your submission with us! This showcase is remarkably beautiful! The storm is scary, and yet the sound of the rain upon the umbrella is very soothing.

The light reflecting on the wet surfaces is so ultra-realistic! Was it challenging to determine how much light would emanate from any of the light-giving assets (i.e. construction cones, streetlamps, car lights, store fronts)?

Hi, @Get_DOVAH_it thanks for your compliments.
Yes, it’s a bit challenging. but with the new Lumen technology, it become much easier. I used a combination of both RectLights and emissive lights for this situation.
For example, 50% of the light emitted from the storefront comes from an emissive material and another RectLight I used to control the shadows and light scattering.

and it’s ok to make any changes here and resubmit?
