Alright, that’s a wrap on this little project. Was really fun figuring out that this sort of platformer is possible using UEFN. There are still some things that we’re fully disclosed in here, just wasn’t sure what all would be still working at launch.

If there’s something in-game you see that I’ve done just reply and I’ll try my best to answer!

  • Starting Temple with custom arcade cabinet.
  • Decals for logo & where the levers are hidden
  • “Final” level inside the Great Pyramid!
  • GG animation

I wish I had been able to create something more finished, but really want to get this out there today so people can see that this can be done.

  • Redo some Sequencers to use Additive (should make animations more reusable)
  • Lighting adjustments (still very dark)
  • lots more levels/traps/obstacles/enemies/collectables

Initial Testing of mechanics.

If you face the player away from the camera the A/D keys act as left/right. I’ve placed invisible barriers in front/behind the player to restrict movement.

Player is forced to strafe sideways and the movement of it isn’t so bad. Just no manteling, sliding, etc.

Yay I’m loving the devlog format, spankysully! Keep it up! Also love the little explosions of rocks when the boulders hit the ledge. It makes the boulders feel like they have a lot of heft to them. :heart_eyes:

Thanks!! My first time making something nice with Niagara! (The small particles still need to be updated they’re just some default sprite lol)

Niagara is so fun! I still have so much to learn about it, I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface. What tutorials did you watch? I started with PrismaticaDev.
