Hello,
I have been following an Unreal Course for some months and I am stuck and confused with camera setups. I am a newbie to unreal; I have no knowledge at all of coding, and I am still confused with blueprints. That’s said, I am persistently trying to understand blueprints.
My issue:
I am making a side scrolling “shredders revenge/SOR4 style” camera setup.
My character game controls function using PaperZD, the game is playable, the camera is setup and the game set up.
My Camera is setup using a Spring Arm and camera attached.
I am limited to the knowledge I learned in the Unreal course, and because of that I have done research on the subject but I am becoming more confused as there are many ways to achieve my goals. Having said that, I would like to have a complete and thorough understanding of the current camera setup procedure first before disregarding this initial setup.
My issue is that I don’t know how to lock the foreground to background axis of the camera (Currently Z). I want the characters to be able to move the camera to the left and right, the camera to follow “player one”, but not on the Z axis.
My setup is below.
If i need to upload another section please let me know.
Any advise would be much appreciated.
