SHURA 修羅 - The Endless Duel of the Cursed Samurai | Short Cinematic | MetaHuman | Unreal 5.5

This short cinematic is crafted using MetaHuman and Unreal Engine 5.5, featuring dynamic lighting, detailed combat choreography, and a haunting atmosphere.

I aimed to push the quality beyond a typical previs, showcasing what’s possible when cinematic storytelling meets real-time technology.
I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Great film, the lighting is great and natural, but it seems you use very little light, do you use mocap for the fight choreography and what render setting do you use for the export? Do you share the behind the scenes of your workflow?

Hey @jameslee_films
I just wrapped up the homepage for Shura UE Cinema—check it out when you get a chance: https://sites.google.com/view/shurauecinema/trang-chủ Mind giving it a quick once-over and letting me know what you think? Any feedback on layout, copy, or functionality would be awesome. Thanks a ton!

Hi there @VUEC,

Hope you’re well!

This was so cool to watch. I was expecting a traditional battle scene but the magical elements took it up a notch. Also, the facial expressions combined with the injuries made the scene feel super high quality. Felt like I had started a movie instead of a short!

Can’t wait to see your other work in the future.

Thanks for sharing the page — overall, I think it’s well put together. The layout is simple and clear, which makes the workflow easy to understand. I like that it’s not cluttered and everything is broken down cleanly. Can’t wait for you next film.
