Should I work in photoshop in Linear space (gamma 2.2)?

hi !

As far as I understand, UE4 render in livear space (wich mean a gamma of 2.2), so should I work my texture in photoshop in Linear space too, or when we import a texture in UE4, this one is automaticly converted into linear space ?

Until now I didn’t worked in linear space in Potoshop, and I’m afraid this was a big mistake ><


Only your Normal, Roughness, Height, Metallic maps need be in linear space since they are not directly being displayed, and you achieve this by unchecking sRGB from the Texture properties.

General consensus is to leave it to UE4 to convert them, instead of providing already pre-made linear files.
