Should I pay anything for using Unreal for TV Commercials?

Hello everyone,

Im working as a motion designer in an agency. Have been working on c4d for years and now Im planning to use Unreal Engine on my new tv commercial project.

I was just wondering, do i need to pay any fees for using unreal in a tv commercial?

Thanks.

Afaik you do not because it is not a game and and are most likely not making the revenue mentioned below?

Once you’ve begun collecting money for your product, you’ll need to track gross revenue and pay a 5% royalty on that amount after $1,000,000 in gross revenue is earned. To report your earnings, complete and submit the royalty form on a quarterly basis.

Probably a good idea to check with an admin about this or contact UE directly

Non-interactive media (video and still images) do not require any royalty fees
