Should I just submit to the fact that Unreal Engine 5 will cause my computer to crash?

I’ve been running into a frustrating issue with Unreal Engine 5: every time I use it, my computer eventually crashes and restarts. At first, I thought it might be a hardware problem. However, I’ve experienced the same issue on four different computers at a PC café. None of these systems lasted more than 30 minutes before crashing, which is especially frustrating since I have to reinstall Unreal each time due to the café’s setup not saving user data.

I’m curious if others have had similar experiences with UE5, particularly in terms of frequent crashes. Is this a common issue, or could there be something specific I’m missing?

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Installing the latest drivers
  • Using different versions of Unreal Engine 5
  • Lowering graphics settings

I’d appreciate any feedback on what might be causing these crashes or any other troubleshooting steps I should consider. I’m also open to submitting bug reports if necessary, but I’m hoping to get some immediate advice first. Thanks in advance for your help!

What CPUs - specifically?

Is this a common issue, or could there be something specific I’m missing?

Not common; it could be the Intel microcode shenanigans that have been crashing systems on the higher-end of the CPU spectrum. The august BIOS updates should now be available for most motherboards, though. A must have unless the overvoltage has already damaged the processor, that is.
