Should i even be using normal maps on nanite enabled meshes??

TLDR: should i be using normal maps or should I just leave that job to nanite?

So I haven’t touched nanite too much yet, however, after watching some of the videos on youtube It appears (amongst other things) to completely remove the need for normals maps. I’m obviously referring exclusively to the types of SMs that can support the variable resolution, not animated meshes etc

Thanks.

Large to small details on a model can be completely supported by geometry with nanite, but you’ll still often want normal maps to add surface texture like fabrics, a rough rock, skin pores, wall paint texture, etc.
