Should I buy such a computer for UE4

Good day everyone. I work as a programmer not by education, but by vocation for 3 years already. I would like to devote my free time to developing this editor. A discrete video card burned on the laptop and immediately got the idea to just buy a PC with an eye on an upgrade. Experienced comrades drove such a build to me, but there are two but - 1) if this hardware will be effective when creating games 2) there is no discrete video card in this assembly, it will be good and a bit later. There is a built-in Radeon Vega 11. I think the first time I will not need something powerful, but again I repeat, I ask for advice. Next, I will indicate the complete assembly of the assembly.

AMD Ryzen 5 2400g BOX processor Motherboard MSI X470 GAMING PLUS RAM Kinston HyperX Fury black 8 GB Hard Disk SSD Apacer AS350 PANTHER 128 GB Cougar CMX 1000w Power Supply

Integrated GPU’s won’t be very good for game development.

Also, you don’t need a 1000w power supply for something like that at all, even if you add an RTX 2080 you won’t need 1000w

I agree that for the configuration you don’t need a 1000W PSU. Choosing a 2400g and if you get disappointed is money wasted anyway, so better to not invest on it.

My recommended setup for someone starting is:

  • Ryzen 5 2600 with stock cooler
  • MSI X470 GAMING PLUS mobo is fine, but you can choose cheaper B450 chipset and save money, be sure the mobo has 6 SATA connectors and 4 DIMM slots for memory
  • 1 SSD 240GB for OS
  • 1 HD 2TB or 2 x 1TB, one you put the tools and the other projects
  • 2 memory sticks 8GB 2666MHz = 16GB
  • 1 GTX 1060 with 6 GB
  • 850W Power supply

My recommended setup for an upgrade for who own the spec above:

  • Ryzen 7 2700x with stock cooler
  • more 2 memory sticks 16GB 2666MHz = 32 + 16 above = 48 total
  • 1 RTX 2080
