Hi everyone,
I’m a beginner Shotgun user, and I’m facing an issue when publishing a file through Maya.
I contacted the Shotgun support, but as the issue seems to be related to UE4, they recommended that I posted my question here as well.
I want to publish in Shotgun an FBX file from Maya together with a turntable video through UE4, which should be possible to accomplish through the Shotgun menu in Maya.
When I open the Publish window in Maya, if I deselect the Unreal Engine part, I can publish the FBX to Shotgun, but I wish to upload a turntable video as well, so I tried to select it.
When I hit Validate, the Shotgun Publish window says “Validation Complete. All checks passed”, but Maya throws the following error:
![]()
I tried going to regedit and check if there was something in this path, but there doesn’t seem to be a “Builds” entry.
If I ignore this and hit Publish anyway, it gives me these errors:
In the end, UE4 crashes, and there is no turntable video… Am I missing something, or is this feature still under development or with some kind of bug?
I followed all the steps from Epic Games hereand hereto make the UE4 integration and got no errors. Everything seems to have finished successfully.
I’m using UE4.25.4 and Maya 2020.2, but also confirmed this issue in Maya 2019.3.1 (the two I have installed).
Thanks in advance for any help!
Best regards,
Andre
