First step is implementation, I am not worried about rendering effects at this time. Since the hair is constructed of individual strands, transparency becomes less of a problem. I also need to look into custom lighting solutions since the hair will have a different way of being lit.

Hi ! Can I get any clue about doing short fur in UE4 with your approach (individual strands)?
