Any chance of adding short fur support? Nvidia did a lovely demo of it on an ape like creature.
I’m currently implementing a hair/fur simulation based on NVidias work. Keep an eye on the WIP forum for any progress I make.
How would it work with UE4’s currently limited support for transparency?
First step is implementation, I am not worried about rendering effects at this time. Since the hair is constructed of individual strands, transparency becomes less of a problem. I also need to look into custom lighting solutions since the hair will have a different way of being lit.
