I am just wondering what is recommended when shipping you game, besides shipping configuration?
I’ve read about the pak file release AND doing patches, but I’ve heard this is not good as pak files can be decrypted anyways, and not recommended when you will do lots of patches/fixes over time.
- If I dont use pak files, what is the downside? security matters, optimization, can the game be “stolen”?
- Is there a way to compile the game without showing all the folders (as it is in your editor… Content/Asset1, Content/Asset2) but to “cook/build” it more clean?
Just wanted to hear your opinions and probably from those who have already been through this.
