Sharing Metahumans in MHC with other accounts

Are there any plans to be able to share Metahumans within Metahuman Creator with other Epic accounts? This is important for some projects when working with teams.

It would be cool if they did something like Mass Effect 2’s character creator where each custom face had a unique ID code that could be copied/pasted to recreate the exact same setup on an entirely different account. Or could be something different, but either way yielding the same results.

That’s also how they were able to get the same looking character across all 3 games if you play Mass Effect Legendary edition. Sorry to revive an old topic with something “out of topic” but I see to recall Mass Effect being done on Unreal. No? Well then just skip it, eh?

Actually, you can share your Metahumans.

You can download your Metahuman, send it to someone, have that someone log into bridge and the in the top menu under “Files”, you can choose to import asset and import from ZIP. this way you can share your metahuman.

They DO have a unique id. Inside bridge, click one of your metahumans. Once inside the “overview page” for that metahuman, under the image there are 3 stacked dots. Click them and you can choose to copy the unique id for that metahuman.

But how to use that ID?

The id is a DNA file, and can be imported through Metahuman Creator (the online software).
By going to the MyMetahuman page:

And then checking at the bottom, click import, and select the DNA file (*.mhb)
