Sharing big scenes between team members

Hello!

I would like to ask what is the best solution to share projects between team members, especially scenes with big number of files. I discovered reddit post suggesting that github is supposed to share only code and not fbx, jpg and other similar files. It makes sense but couldn’t find any solution to overcome this problem.

Unreal Engine is on GitHub so I assume there is a way? The engine content, plugins, and starter content are huge.

I’ve been using Github with a huge project (160GB) with no major problems. We had to turn on “GitLFS” (large file system) and pay for several monthly “packs”, but things are working. Considering moving to Perforce as our back-end (to enable file-level locking), but the setup for that is godawful: you need an IT person.
