For those of you who have troubles trying to retarget A-Pose animations to a T-pose character , im sharing the T-Pose animation of the A-pose white guy . Just import it with your current manequin skeleton . Just use this animation and set it as the base pose in the retarget manager . This T-pose is a “perfect” t-pose representation of the white mannequin because i didn’t make it myself , instead it is created using a set of steps and its extremely simple .
The following are the steps i took to create the “perfect” T-pose for the A-pose white manequin from an existing blue manequin as well as easily retarget new animations from different poses :
- Go to the blue manequin and get his t-pose recorded within persona .
- Export the new t-pose animation (the one you can download in this post)
- Import this t-pose animation into your project again but use the white mannequin skeleton
- Go to persona and go to retarget manager
- Play t-pose animation and click on “save pose” in the retarget manager .
- Export animations
(Note : it works for t-pose to a-pose and vice versa)
