Shadow Cascades capped at 2?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to increase the maximum number of shadow cascades for a movable directional light. I increased the maximum number in the project settings for mobile rendering to 4 and set the light to 4 cascades.

After building and deploying on the device only 2 cascades are rendered. I doublechecked the CVar “r.Shadow.CSM.MaxMobileCascades” inside the app and it is set to 4. However maximum 2 will be rendererd. If I decrease the CVar the shadows behave as expected, increasing above 2 does nothing.

What am I doing wrong here? I’m using the latest 4.27.2 engine version.
