The orthophoto is a really useful feature and is doing a great job in my opinion.
It would be even better if the models could be enhanced by some shading like ambient exclusion or normal-based.
Ideally to be selected in “color type” as alternative to textured or colored, to be used in external IP software.
Alternatively, a hightmap would also work, I guess…

Can that not be implemented in Orthophoto in the way I described?
Ambient Occlusion & Co. can be worked around by using external Software to color vertices and re-importing…
Or is thet not possible because it does the shading of the vertex colors?
Then the only possibility would be to keep an untextured model for that purpose, I suppose…
+1 for AO option for renders in RC. Compared to plain “shaded”, AO will pop fine details in a nice way (as long as geometry is of good quality).
