Trying to upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.3 from 4.27 (not sure if this is the right place to post sorry), and was wondering if there was ANY way to avoid compiling every shader upon upgrading engine versions. Thanks!
No there’s no way ![]()
However, since 5.2 ( I think ), shaders only compile when they’re needed. So it should be less that it would have been.
Thank you for the answer! I will attempt to upgrade it soon once I get my new hard drive in.
