does anyone know how to turn off shader? it really cost my laptop battery and time, i do not know how to deal with it
Hi, not sure what you mean with “turn off shader”, but what you definitely can do, and what helps saving energy:
- Turn off Realtime in viewport - use Ctrl-R or dropdown menu
- use console command t.maxfps 10 to limit frame rate
Note: you can also disable realtime thumbnails in the content browser.
Important: limiting framerate can have quite some side effects, for example with physics simulations. So in case of weird effects, setting this value back to 0 (unlimited) is useful to check.
Hello!
You can try making the scene “Unlit”
It should improve the performace of Unreal
Hope this helps!
