It’s only me or does the dataprep asset editor seem to be broken in 5.8.3? For example, I an unable to edit any options on first placed node in new data prep asset or even select the node to move of delete it.
Steps to reproduce:
Create a new data prep asset, open, drag in any node (filter, operation, etc) in to the recipe canvas, try to click on the node in the newly create action. You will not be able to. Now if you drag another node into the same action, you will be able to edit it’s properties, BUT if you click away and try again, you can’t select it.
This seems like a draw order / selection issue in the UI.
Workaround:
Add a node that will do nothing, such as Filter by Actor label (blank). Then add your actual nodes / actions to the recipe. The bug only affects the first action of the recipe
Another Bug:
Right clicking on a action title does not bring up the correct context menu to delete/disable etc. It brings up the add new action/node context menu (the same one you get when right clicking in empty space in the recipe window.
Another Bug:
Dragging the actions to reorder only works if you drag from right to left, and only if you move the one you are dragging to the very end. To reproduce try dragging left to right
