Setting up source control mid-project

Hey,

I have a solo project on my local machine which I’ve been working on for a while and now I have to get Perforce up and running in order to work on it with my partner.

I use 4.21 from source, and and it seems like it isn’t just as simple as just putting the project files on the server and running it with another source built engine.

So the problem / question here is: Is it possible to work on a project that has been made with UE4 from source with another source built engine on a different machine, so that I would not have to put the engine on the depot too, only the project?

It should work but it may ask you to recompile due to the compiled identifiers being different. As long as both engines are compiled from the same source code it should be fine.
