Setting up a clean project without too many of the default plugins that we don't need

Hi,

I’m trying to setup a clean project, we’re doing 3D animation, so don’t need all the iOS, android etc crap that’s enabled by default. Can I just disable any plugin I want, or should I keep some of them on because of stability issues etc?

Kind regards,
Bart

There isn’t really much point in disabling them as the performance impact is negligible and the default enabled plugins that you’re talking about have practically no front-end. As well as that, there are only around a dozen or so that are actually enabled.

I personally wouldn’t waste my time going through disabling those plugins, but it should be fine if you do.

Hey @JanKlootVanDam! Welcome to the forums!

Yeah, you can disable all of that. You can even do so without opening the project if you right click the .uproject file and open it in Notepad! That being said most of that is not part of the project, it’s part of the engine installation.
