Set World Origin Location broken after pawn possession (bug)

I have a ship (pawn) that origin shifts when it’s a set distance from origin using ‘Set World Origin Location’ that works if I start the game as the ship

If I start the game as a 3rd person character then possess the ship the ‘Set World Origin Location’ does not work at all. The node calls the function but the origin never moves. This occurs in singleplayer with no replication.

It’s not related to tick functions or anything like that because manually triggering the node with a button does not work either.

why not just enable it project wide and then disable it if you don’t need it on the character?
