Set Landscape Material Node seems to do nothing

I am attempting to use the Set Landscape Material Node to change the landscape material from a blueprint. No matter what approach i try it simply will not change the landscape material.

My goal is to have two identical materials, one of which has tesselation enabled. Then based on a Bool in my user settings page, to load the proper material.

Regardless, even with direct basic experiments, the Set Landscape Material Node seems to have absolutely no effect.

This seems to be a major flaw, if actually broken. Can i get some input from Epic please?
