Set animation frame range

I have an animation in MODO that is 23 frames long in a sequence that is 24 frames long. When I import it into Unreal 4.15, I select ‘animation range’ but it still comes in at 120 frames. In the editor I select ‘animation range’. It still animates for 23 frames and then sits still until frame 120. I select 'Set frame range, and enter 0 for minimum, and 23 for maximum. It still animates for 23 frames and then sits still until frame 120.

How do I either successfully import only the animated frame range, or, modify the frame range once it’s imported.

Thanks

Here’s one thing that worked for me.

  1. Open up the imported animation in UE
  2. In the Asset Details, scroll to Import Settings
  3. Change Animation Length to ‘Set Range’
  4. In the Frame Import Range, set the Min to 1 and the Max to 23
  5. Click the Reimport Current Animation button on the toolbar under the menu

Hopefully that works for you. I have no idea why UE sometimes ignores the Exported Time.
