Sequencer recording vehicle without wheel motion/physics

I’m trying to record a vehicle driving around a track that can then be used to produce a cinematic. I’ve followed what seem to the necessary steps, but when I playback the recording the vehicle only moves along a line without any physics or wheel movements. Even more strangely, when I render the sequence out to a video file only the physics shows and not the vehicle movement along the driven path.

Another user seems to have experiences the same/similar issue but without answers: Vehicle Cinematic with Sequence Recorder - Animation - Unreal Engine Forums

Any ideas or similar encounters?

Ok - adding a ‘simulate physics’ track with physics turned off to the vehicle mesh track in the sequencer seems to help, it now renders a cinematic with the correct wheel movement and vehicle chassis motion. This still doesn’t show up in the editor when I play back, something odd going on.
