I have noticed an issue while animating a metahuman in sequencer. When I use the re-time tool to adjust keys in the curve editor it breaks keys that have a parent constraint on them.
I’ll try to explain my setup in more detail: I have a character (metahuman) placing a suitcase into the trunk of a car. For the first 45 frames I have the hands attached to the suitcase actor via a parent constraint. Once the suitcase is placed in the trunk I set a key on the parent constraint to de-activate it, and then continued animating the hands for the rest of the sequence.
Now I want to re-time some of the animation I did later in the sequence because it is too slow. I opened the curve editor and using the re-time tool, I have placed re-time markers in the positions I want to re-time a section of the animation. But when I drag the marker at the end of the sequence, the hands in the earlier section jump to a totally different position when they are supposed to be constrained to the suitcase. even though that part of the animation should stay static based on my retime markers.
Notice keyframe position in the above image, and this is what they look like after dragging the 3rd marker. I don’t understand why they are changing.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Please help.
