I am using UE4 4.12. Out of the blue I got a message at the bottom of my view port showing “No active level sequencer detected. Please edit a level sequence to enable full controls.” Not sure what to do with this.
It probably popped up when you pressed shift+c, it turned on the cinematic editor. To turn this off, go to Perspective (in the viewport), and under viewport type change it from “cinematic viewport” back to “default viewport”. That should get rid of the annoying message

I can not fiqure out how to record game play with the new sequencer. I followed the tutorial from here…https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Sequencer/HowTo/SequenceRecorder/. But it does not work for me. I am using the Hal Arch Viz game mode. Maybe has something to do with that.
I select FirstPersonCharacter as the actor to record. Everything is set to the defaults. I hit record and immediately it tells me my recording is finished and I have not even moved the actor.
