Sequencer not playing .fbx imported animations correctly

Has anyone run into problems with animations from imported .fbx within sequencer? When I play or record, the animations don’t start at the beginning…they do play correctly once the playhead is at the beginning of the track, but prior to this, they hold the end frame…so for instance, I have an fbx animation of a cube going from point A to point B…I add the cube track, add its’ animation, select ‘keep state’ so that it will end on last frame…then when I play from the beginning, the cube is in position B…until the playhead hits the beginning of the animation…and then it plays correctly…Anyone experience this? Thx

maybe try adding preroll?
